The Guest Quarters

I think you’ll love this creation ON the Greenbrier River.   In the Guest Quarters, you will find all that you need!  What gives us the most pleasure,  is offering a place where folks can truly relax.  From your yard and private access to the river,  you can fish, boat, sit in the river,  or just hang out by the fire.    So book your vacation here in Seebert and Pocahontas County!  The state’s slogan, “Wild & Wonderful” says it all…….COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!

The GUEST QUARTERS is great for adults, young and old,  and best suited for children 5 years or older.    The bottom floor is all yours, so come on, it’s for your enjoyment, plus we’re air conditioned and have good water.  If you’re hiking, biking or boating The Greenbrier River Trail,  we offer one night rentals, so enjoy an evening,  AND, stay longer if you’d like!

The Guest Quarters

The Guest Quarters is located on the ground floor of our riverside home.

Our unique property and location are the reasons we moved to Seebert, W.V. from the N.C. coast. We are located in Pocahontas County,  on the banks of the Greenbrier River and are only minutes away to the 79-mile long Greenbrier River Trail, a basically flat rail trail. The trail allows bikes, horses, and walking, but no motorized vehicles.  There’s lots of wildlife and beauty to enjoy! We are near mile post 45, so you can explore from the middle. If you’re into biking, an 11-mile trip will take you to the town of Marlinton, where a good lunch can be had and you can work it off on the trip home! If you’re into birding, this is the spot! The nearby town of Hillsboro is home to the Pearl S. Buck Museum which is very interesting! Droop Mountain Battlefied State Park is only a few miles away for those Civil War buffs.  We tell folks that our backyard, Watoga State Park, is 10,000 acres and our front yard is the river!  The park has a seasonal restaurant, lots of hiking trails, a recreational building and a swimming pool.

The front yard

The Guest Quarters' front yard is perfect for relaxing on the Greenbrier River.

The Greenbrier River is perfect for fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just sitting in the water relaxing!  Jack Horner’s Corner, across the river from us, sells everything from bait to pizza and beer to ice and also rents bikes and boats and provides shuttles for both. (plus does bike repairs)  We chose this spot because of the outdoor experience that it offers,  in addition to it’s beauty. We’ve visited places out west that claim to be the “last great place,” but once you visit us, I think you’ll disagree with them and come to our conclusion that we’re the last great place!  Stay and Play in our Guest Quarters and see why the state’s slogan is Wild and Wonderful!

Cook A Great Dinner on the Fire or Just Enjoy Sitting by the River!

My husband was a boat builder and owner of Masonboro Boat Yard for 40 years. He came here to retire, but retirement didn’t suit him at all, so our home and Guest Quarters became his project.   I hope you’ll come to experience it and love it as much as we do!  EVERYONE COMES TO SEEBERT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, including us!  Book your stay for the summer or fall and be ready for the Adventures of Pocahontas  County!
